Rachel Weigler

Rachel grew up in an active household, where sports were a part of daily life. Tennis and track evolved into long distance running after high school. While continuing to do half marathons and triathlons, she developed a passion for teaching and spent time as a track and cross country coach for Franklin Middle School.
For Rachel, fitness has always been a "social activity" and she believes that community is an important part of the fitness experience. She loves Crossfit and high intensity training, but was always drawn to the grace exhibited in ballet. In 2015, Rachel discovered barre during her work travels, and continued to take classes over the next two years. When she and her husband moved to Indianapolis in 2017, Rachel struggled to find classes that worked with her schedule, so she set out to obtain her barre certification and start her own community classes.
Curious to explore the world of yoga, Rachel joined Invoke as a student in May of 2019. She fell in love with the community and became a regular student, then offered her assistance as a substitute barre instructor. In January of 2020, Rachel began teaching a permanent Bar Effect class. This love of movement created an interest in Pilates, so Rachel used her COVID downtime to obtain her Reformer Pilates certification. Her classes intertwine classical Pilates movements with more contemporary influences from Yoga, Barre, and Mat Pilates principles.
